Company Milestones
July 10, 2006: SolarSave® Roofing Membrane achieved Underwriter's Labratory (UL) safety listing and Class A fire rating.
June 20, 2006: we attended our first company trade show at the PCBC 2006 conference.
May 15, 2006: we received our first company award from the PCBC 2006 Trade Show in the "Cool Products" Competition for our SolarSave® Roofing Membrane series of products.
April 21, 2006: we changed our company name to Open Energy Corporation to better reflect our mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
February 13 and March 31, 2006: we signed agreements to obtain approximately $20 million through a series of financings.
February 10, 2006: we completed the acquisition of CRE (Connect Renewable Energy) and in April 2006, we acquired the remaining interest in SRS (Solar Roofing Systems) that we previously owned.
February 01, 2006: we shipped our first SolarSave® Roofing Tile products to Tahoe Center for Environmental Science at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, NV.
January 12, 2006: we secured our first SolarSave® Roofing Membrane product for a $2.5 million order from Stellar Energy Solutions.
December 21, 2005: we shipped our first SolarSave® Architectural PV Glass product to the California Academy of Science to develop and install what is slated to be the largest photovoltaic glass canopy in the country - a contract worth over $1.5 million.
December 08, 2005: we approved a term sheet authorizing the sale of Manyberries natural gas holdings, which included several wells, pipelines, and a small gas refinery.
November 14, 2005: we signed an agreement to acquire California-based Connect Renewable Energy, Inc. (CRE), which developed, patented, and is currently manufacturing PV integrated roofing tiles. Subsequently, CRE founder Ron Gangemi joined our Board of Directors.
September 13, 2005: David P. Saltman was appointed as president and CEO of the Company and we moved our corporate office to Southern California.
August 08, 2005: we signed an agreement to acquire controlling interest in Toronto-based Solar Roofing Systems, Inc, (SRS), which developed and patented SolarSave® photovoltaic (PV) roofing membranes. SRS founder Norman Dodd subsequently joined our Board of Directors.
July 26, 2005: we signed an exclusive international license for SunCone™ CSP (Concentrating solar power) technology. SunCone™ CSP is capable of concentrating solar energy to heat fluid and drive a turbine to produce electricity, or to purify water using the power of the sun.
June 28, 2005: we made strategic decisions to shift the focus of the company from oil and fuel to renewable energy, motivated by the growth in wind, solar, and other renewable energy technologies.
May 12, 2005: we successfully fulfilled the requisite filing and procedures via a proxy statement, for a company name change to Barnabus Energy, Inc. (OTCBB:BBSE).
March 21, 2005: we acquired gas leases and a number of existing and proposed gas wells in Alberta, Canada.
April 11, 2002: our company was originally incorporated in the State of Nevada under the name of Barnabus Enterprises Ltd.
